Ishant impressive performance

Ishant showed another glimpse of a talent that may shoulder India's new ball responsibilities with skill in practice match. They call him 'Lambu' in the dressing room. Today, Ishant Sharma has a reason to walk even taller than his six-and-a-half feet frame. The entire Indian pace bowling battery was on show and he was by far the most impressive. He was bowling quite well today. the lanky fast bowler said after the second day's play against the Australian Capital Territory XI.In Sydney, Ishant too was a part player in the drama. If umpire Steve Bucknor had heard the edge off Andrew Symonds, the Test match would have swung decisively India's way. His crestfallen face told a story then; now he is learning to respond with maturity."It was a good experience playing in Sydney. A lot of things have been learnt from the Sydney Test; how life treats you as a person or as a cricketer. It's like that," Ishant adds, putting up a brave face. And then his nerve failed him at a critical juncture. Just a few balls of Michael Clarke to play out, but Ishant crumbled to the pressure of the moment. That still rankles.
